Anthony David Gonzalez was a tight end in American football who played for the National Football League. He played for 17 years playing on the field. The NFL's most successful tight ends and the third most effective overall receiver, he has been named the NFL's leading tight end in terms of receptions, yards he has received, and receptions, among other things.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Atlanta Falcons, is currently working at FOX's Studio. Gonzalez is a regular on FOX NFL KICKOFF for this past season, serves as the show's host. It airs every Sunday at 11:15 am ET prior to FOX NFL Sunday.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL after 2013 was not true. The 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez signed with Falcons a 2-year contract for $14,000,000. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, in 2012, and Gonzalez (37 year old) was the one of the NFL's top receivers.
